Go On An Ice Cream Trip Together
Need a break from the hustle and bustle of the day? Take yourself and your little one for an ice cream cone.

On your way to the ice cream store point out interesting sights along the way. If you are lucky enough to live close to an ice cream store, walk there. Admire the flowers in the yards, merchandise in the windows of stores, and say hello to neighbors and shopkeepers. Make it a leisurely stroll and you'll feel stress dissolving away.

When you get to the store, take your time deciding what flavors you want to eat. Go for broke! Add sprinkles or gummy bears! Whatever you do, don't feel guilty about the calorie intake. Savor not only the flavor, but also the time with your child. Take some hand wipes to clean your faces and hands after the delicious treat.

Step-by-Step:
  1. Shortly before the time you want to leave, announce that you are going to take a walk (or drive) with your child.
  2. Be sure to visit the bathroom before you leave.
  3. Look for interesting sights and people.
  4. Discuss what you are seeing.
  5. Take your time in deciding on what ice cream treat you want.
  6. Enjoy!
