Shoes
Selecting your child's first pair of shoes is a momentous occasion.

Description:

Buying your child?s first pair of shoes is a momentous occasion and one that a parent never forgets! Here are some pointers on selecting just the right pair.

Step by Step:
  1. Try shoes on either early in the morning, or at the end of the day, as feet swell during the day.
  2. Try on both shoes.
  3. Have your child?s foot measured, one foot is usually larger than the other. Be sure to measure the width as well as the length.
  4. Have your child wear the type of socks they will be wearing with the shoes when they try them on.
  5. There should be at least a thumb?s space from your child?s toes to the top of the shoe.
  6. Choose a shoe that is easy for your child to put on, and take off.
  7. Be sure the shoes are comfortable from the beginning, without being ?broken in.?

Remember:
Expensive is not necessarily better.
