Rainy Day Safari
It's raining, it's pouring?..let's go on a Safari!
Description: Just because it's raining outside, doesn't mean you can't have a fun adventure. Create an indoor safari complete with a campsite, "wild animals," and lots of photo ops! To add an educational spin, bring along books about the wild animals you're likely to encounter, even if the only beasts you'll really see came from the toy store and are made for cuddling! Step by Step:
- Drape sheets over a table to make a tent.
- Pretend you are camping out in the jungle.
- Hide your child's favorite stuffed animals around the house behind large plants would work especially well to create a jungle feel. Search for them with a flashlight.
- Photograph your child with some of the "big game" he's spotted.
- Have a "safari snack" of tropical fruit.
