Getting Dressed
Getting Dressed
One, Two, Buckle my Shoe...

Description:
Your child will soon want to try to dress on his or her own, so why not begin the prep work now.

Next time you are dressing your baby, turn it into a game. Your baby will love the interaction you share as well as begin to learn how to identify articles of clothing and body parts.

Step by Step:
  1. Choose your baby's clothes.
  2. Describe everything you are doing. For example, let your child know when you are moving his or her arms and legs up or down.
  3. Name the articles of clothing.
  4. Name parts of the body.
  5. Use words that describe the textures of their clothing.
