Hi there, so don't laugh, but as I am learning to cook, I am trying to figure out things to cook for the baby.  Any help would be great as I am trying to get her off some baby foods. Does anyone have a set schedule of meals i.e. breakfast--what they eat? lunch, etc?  She is trying things, but I want to offer her more.

Thank you from the non cook!

No Avatar My babe is about the same age, and she is honestly game for anything.  Pasta is wonderful (and easy, too).  Just add some sauce or cheese.  Speaking of which, cheesetoast is another big hit.  She also likes chicken.

Hello!

My little girl is 13 months old, and I wanted to take her off baby food around 12 months.  Luckily she loves food and took to this idea easily.  I have different foods she eats for each meal, and it seems to work really well for us.

Breakfast- I always give her whole milk and fruit (any kind really-banana, melon, pear), then I rotate between whole grain waffles, blueberry pancakes (trying to get more fruit in), french toast with light syrup, oatmeal and eggs

Lunch/Dinner- whole milk, fruit, veggies, then I switch between other items like pasta with meatballs, turkey, chicken (her favorite), really tender roast, meatloaf...basically anything I cook for myself.

cheese and yobaby yogurt are some of her favorite snacks!

Hope this helps!

I just wanted to say being a mommy of two COMPLETELY different children, don't be surprised if your baby doesn't do well right away with table foods. My first ate baby food until he was 18 months! Then, since he has been VERY picky!! My daughter on the other had was eating table bites as soon as she could sit up at about 6-7 months, and NEVER wanted baby foods! Very different kiddos, but about what to feed...ditto from above! :)

No Avatar I could probably use some help on this topic too. I have a 13 mo old who only eats fruit, cheese, chicken and bread.. She would rather starve the eat veggies. And she never did like baby food at all.I never saw myself the mom of a picky eater, considering the fact that i can't stop myself from eating everything i see!!
