My son is 4 months old and just learned to roll over 2 days ago (from his back to his stomach). He doesn't know how to roll from his stomach to his back and cries and gets frustrated. I hate to watch him so frustrated but I want him to learn for himself. Shoudl I let him figure it out himself or keep turning him over?
Thanks for any help/suggestions you have to offer. |

| No Avatar | I have the same situation. My daughter is turning 4 months in 2weeks and she still hates to be on her tummy. Everytime we try to help her roll over and then put her on her stoch she cries and gets frustrated because she doesn't know what to do when she is on her tummy. I truly believe that she will get there on her own, with continues help from us, it is just a matter of time. My pediatrician told me it was normal for her to not like be on her tummy, that she will get over that soon. Laura |

my son hated tummy time until he was like 5 1/2 months old. i wanted him to learn on his own too but if you help show them what to do it helps.. instead of flipping them over yourself try showing her how to tuck her arm under and push on her leg and maybe give her a bit of a push and let them finish the roll my son felt a bit more accomplishment by feeling like he did it on his own and pretty soon he had it down | ||
