Hello

I am a first time mom of a 3 month old boy and it is exciting, terrifying and wonderful all at the same time.  I recently had to go back to work and am trying to find someone or somewhere to take care of him while I go to work.  Can anyone help?

Also, I am looking to meet some new friends it seemd that all my single and no kids friends think I have the plague.  Anyone outhere want to share stories, have lunch, take a walk?  I am happily married and looking for some girlfriends in the neighborhood.  I live in Homestead, FL

avatar I'm not sure where you are working but there is an amazing daycare about five minutes south of downtown miami - you'ld have to get your baby on the waiting list - so it wouldn't be a help right now but maybe in the future. let me know if anyone sends you any other info on day care b/c eventually i'm going to have to go back to work and i'll need someone too. hope you've had some luck!

HI JennM

Thanks for the refly....

I have found a daycare that I am happy with so far.  It is actually a chain and they are all over the US it is called La Petite http://www.lapetite.com/public/

There are a few that are closer to where I live but the one across the street from the Miami Metro Zoo is the one I chose and I am very happy so far.  If anything changes I will let you know.

Jenn M,

What's the name of the daycare? I live in West Miami but am moving to Coconut Grove to be closer to downtown and am looking for a good daycare. Any advice you have would be great!

Thanks!

The La Petite Daycare is working out GREAT for me.  I have to say all the teachers are very friendly and take very good care of my son.  It was very hard for me to start leaving him at daycare at only 3 months as I had return to work, but he has been there for 2 months now and I am very pleased.  I would recommend this particular location to anyone.
