Are you planning on having a baby but not sure if you have PCOS?
Symptoms & Signs of PCOS:
  • Missed period or irregular menstrual flow
  • Difficulty of conceiving
  • Increased amount of hair on body; facial areas, belly, back, chest, feet and hands.
  • Growth of tiny ovarian cysts
  • Very oily skin
  • Dry, flaky scalp
  • Pimples
  • Weight gain around the stomach area
  • High blood pressure
  • Hair loss
  • Dark colored patches on skin
  • Tiny skin tags on skin; armpit and neck region
  • Painful cramping on the pelvic region
  • Diabetes; type 2
  • Feeling of overwhelmed emotions; depression
  • Sleep problems; too much snoring, shortness of breathe while asleep
  • Too much high levels of androgens

Other Ways to Treat PCOS:

  • There is really no way to permanently get rid of PCOS but you can go through treatments to prevent it from becoming worst.

  • Birth control Pills – If you are not planning on having a baby. This will help regulate your menstrual flow, lower the levels of androgens, and help with pimples from breaking out. Remember if you stop taking the pill, your menstrual flow will return to its abnormal stage.

  • Metformin Medication – This is used for diabetes type 2 and can also help treat PCOS. But make sure you talk to your doctor first before starting on this medication.

  • IVF (Invitro Fertilization) – This is actually the best way and better chances for women to have a baby. But it can be very expensive and can be a burden to you financially. So talk to your doctor for any financial options.

Also, keeping a healthy diet, exercise regime and talking to support groups can help manage your PCOS problems.
