The Biggest Grin
I tell my three-month-old, "Mommy's gonna get you" and get closer and closer and then kiss his nose. Pretty much as long as I'm playing with him, he's laughing, and he grins so big!

Sleeping Through the Night
Don't fret over when your baby will sleep through the night. People will give you all kinds of ideas like cereal in milk, warm baths, and music. I am the mother of twin boys who are months. They started to sleep through the night when their bodies were ready to handle it. It's all about patience.

Waking Up with a Smile
Every morning I love waking my baby up, because the first thing she does is smile. But when she starts getting a little fussy I lay her on her back grab her feet and tap them together, and I say in a funny voice, “ape feet, ape feet.” It never fails - she loves it, and begins to giggle.

First Birthdays
For my son's first birthday we had friends and family over to celebrate. We had a poster where everyone dipped their hand in paint and pressed it to the poster paper. We then signed the names at the bottom of each print. I had it laminated for a keepsake for my son.

Tell it Like it Is
I am a manager at a fast food restaurant. One morning I was called in for a meeting. Since this was not planned, I had to bring my 10-month-old daughter with me. When my boss was done with his speech he asked if anyone had any comments. My daughter, deciding to put in her two cents' worth, turned to him and let out the loudest and longest raspberry I had ever heard. Out of the mouths of babes!

Babies, Family and Happiness
My daughter is 20 months old and I cannot imagine my life without her! My husband and I are trying to get pregnant again now. We are planning on having at least two more children. Children are so much work, but well worth every minute. I thank God every day for my daughter and my husband. Another baby will just add more happiness to our family.

Elmo's Got a Fan
I’ve always loved Elmo ever since I was a little girl. So it didn’t surprise me that my daughter’s first word, other than “mama” and “dada” was “Elmo!” Whenever she sees him, she yells, “Elmo!” Even when she sees him on her Pampers. It’s so cute and funny!

Colic is Not Forever
My daughter started crying at three weeks. We tried changing formula, drops and everything else on the market. The doctor said it was colic and it would have to run its course. I was frustrated to find that, after several hours of research, there was not really an explanation of colic out there. There were theories, but nothing I could use to help my daughter … What she REALLY loved was to be rocked in the chair. It was great because you could rock it with your foot. So for three months my husband and I took turns eating supper on the couch and rocking the chair with our foot. We rocked it so much that even when she was in her crib, we'd rock the chair out of habit if we happened to sit by it. Now she's nine months old and everything is great. I know it's tough, but there is an end to colic … just hang in there.

Putting a Familiar Face on Feelings
To teach my son different emotions like happy, laughing, smile, sleeping, tired, upset, sad, or crying, I took pictures of him in those states. Then I put the pictures in Ziploc bags and put them together as a book of feelings.

Happy Eaters
We have always had our baby at the kitchen table with us for every dinner. She has basically been begging to share our food since birth. When we finally got permission from her doctor at five months, she gobbled the cereal up! And now, a month later, she's having fun with bananas and apples. We are hoping if she's exposed to our food daily, eating won't be a huge problem!

Can't Let Him Cry it Out
I am very lucky to have a six-month-old daughter who has slept through the night since she was five weeks old. I also have a three-year-old son who woke often when a baby, and was also difficult to get to sleep. Although it seemed hard at the time it really was such a short time in my life that I had to get up for him. I never left him to cry it out - I HATE the idea - and am glad now as he is such a secure, confident boy who loves going to bed with no sleep problems whatsoever. Remember that although you're tired now, in a year or two it will just be a distant memory so do what feels right in your heart.

Close in Age
When our first child Anna was six months old, we found out we were pregnant again. I was so scared. When Anna was 15 months old and barely walking, along came Ezra. It truly felt like I had twins. Times were really surprisingly easy until Anna was three and Ezra was two. Those were the hardest times. When Ezra was 22 months old, we got pregnant again with our third. I am not scared at all this time and can’t wait to have close kids in age. Nothing is more wonderful, and I’m well prepared this time!

So Many Things to Look Forward To
I can’t wait for my little man to roll over, sit by himself for longer periods of time, stand, walk, eat solids. I have so many things to look forward to. I am so excited!
