PAPER PLATE TURTLES - Aug 20th, 2007
Simple paper plates turn into turtles with a little finger paint, glue, and construction paper.
Two paper plates
Brown construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Brown and green finger-paints
Step by Step:
- Cut a round shape for the head with a long neck, four rectangle shapes with points at one end for legs, and a small triangle for the tail out of brown construction paper.
- Let the child finger paint the bottom of two paper plates with brown and green finger-paint to make the turtle shell.
- Then glue the legs,tail and head to the proper places to the top of one paper plate (the unpainted side.
- Glue the top paper plate on to the other bottom side up so the painted side is on top.
- Name your turtle!
