Coos and Hugs - Nov 23rd, 2007
The language of infants is cooing. When your infant sees something that interests her, she'll respond with a coo. Play a cooing game along with her.
Step by Step:
1. Hold a colored object in front of your baby's eyes.
2. When she responds with a coo, answer her with a coo and a big hug.
3. Hold up pictures of family members, when your baby coos, name the person in the picture and give her a hug.
You will soon find out what objects interest and please your baby.
When your baby learns that her sounds please you, she'll make more sounds.
This encourages early language development and speech.
