Native American handicrafts display vibrant colors and striking patterns. Young children can make jewelry that evokes the spirit of these creations with a few materials and their own unique sense of design. These one-of-a-kind necklaces are perfect to wear to Thanksgiving dinner?or any occasion that calls for a touch of whimsy!
Step by Step:
- Let your child paint the pasta tubes using different colors.
- Alternatively, you can soak the pasta in a bowl of water tinted with food coloring. (You can also buy tinted pasta in some educational or school supply stores, or find tri-colored pasta in many supermarkets).
- Allow the paint or dye to dry.
- String the pasta on the yarn or string in a pattern.
- Tie ends together.
