Create a sea of umbrellas inside!

Description:
Create a sea of umbrellas with a few simple craft supplies. And while you are cutting and pasting, talk to kids about how the first umbrellas were invented over four thousand years ago. Explain that originally umbrellas were used as protection from the sun, not the rain. Ask children to tell you what other items we use to keep ourselves dry in the rain.

Step by Step:
  1. Cut lots of paper muffin tin liners in half.
  2. Give each child a piece of construction paper on which to glue the muffin 'umbrellas.'
  3. Glue on pipe cleaners for umbrella handles.
  4. Add 'raindrops' of silver glitter glue.
