Backyard Science - Jun 11th
They're creepy and they're crawly.
Description:
Toddlers and preschoolers turn over every stone and rock in their path, looking for insects, snakes, and other creatures. Beetles, caterpillars, toads and salamanders are just part of the menagerie that might be found and captured in your own backyard. Crickets make good temporary pets and slugs are a childhood favorite. Monitor your new found friends for a short time, discuss their behavioral characteristics or learn more about what they can do for your yard. If you catch any be sure to provide food and air holes, and when you are done, release them safely back into the wild.
