Jell-O tm Hearts
How to Make Jello Hearts
Make jiggly, wiggly tokens of love that are good enough to eat!

These treats are a cinch to make, and fun to eat. After all, it's impossible not to smile when your dessert jiggles and wiggles!

While waiting for the JELL-O(tm) to cool, have a 'red' treasure hunt. Pull out some magazines and have your child point out all the items that are red. Then see how many red items you can find in a certain room in your house, or in the backyard.

Step-by-Step:
  1. Prepare Jell-O(tm) according to box directions and pour mixture into the baking pan. Involve your child in the process of measuring and pouring.
  2. Allow the Jell-O (tm) to cool (which can take a couple of hours).
  3. Once the Jell-O(tm) is cool, use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out shapes and lay them out on another plate. (Dipping the cutter in hot water first helps make a cleaner shape).
  4. You can also use the heart-shaped cookie cutter to stamp hearts out of other types of food, including pancakes, bread, and slices of cheese.

Materials:
1 pot
1 shallow baking pan
Heart-shaped cookie cutters (various sizes if possible)
1 box of instant Jell-Oï¿?(raspberry, cherry, or strawberry flavor)
