Bath Time Puppet Show
Bath Time Puppet Show
Turn your bathroom into center stage for some squeaky clean entertainment. The shower curtain can open and close to reveal your child performing various "acts"; the props can be bath puppets, rubber duckies and other bath toys; and the make-up and costumes can be created by bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!

At "intermission" you can read a bath-related book such as Five Minutes' Peace by Jill Murphy. You'll relate to this mama elephant who sets out to take a quiet bath and ends up with a tub full of children! (Before the show ends, don't forget to wash your little one from head to toe.)

Step-by-Step:
  • Prepare a bubble bath and put bath puppets and bath toys in the tub.
  • Sit next to the tub and ask your child what he or she would like to perform. It can be a song, a poem, or he or she can simply pretend to be a favorite character.
  • Now close the shower curtain and introduce your child. For example, "Ladies and Gentleman: Presenting Jake, starring as Captain Mega-Bubbles!"
  • Open the curtain, and now it's show time.
  • Be sure to encourage your child by reacting with enthusiasm, and be sure to applaud at the end!
